Our Team
Miguel Martinez - Owner and Head Chef
Miguel earned his culinary degree at Le Cordon Bleu in 2005 and worked as a chef in fine dining restaurants until he began his own catering company, Chef City, in 2017, which eventually became Maya Rosa. Miguel started with just a tent, some coolers, a couple of burners, and by preparing all of his food at home. He quickly gained interest from the general public at these pop-up events. This led to Miguel renting space in a commissary kitchen and buying a food truck in 2019, branding it with the Maya Rosa logo. His success continued to grow, and in 2021, Miguel was able to rent his own kitchen space in Longwood, Florida.
In the past few years, he has solidified himself in the Orlando foodie scene, receiving articles written about him and his business in the Orlando Sentinel. Miguel is passionate about making good food for people to enjoy. Catering has always been his number one goal, and through taking these steady steps towards success, he has developed a loyal following and consistent business. Miguel and everyone at Maya Rosa are extremely grateful for your business. Thank you for choosing to work with us.
Annie Swirsky - Marketing Manager
Annie started working with Maya Rosa in 2019 as a cashier at pop-up events while the company was still establishing itself. On her first day of work, Annie quickly noticed the importance of social media presence for the business and began contributing to content creation and social media sharing. Annie received her B.A. in Communications from the University of Central Florida in 2022 and gained experience through various marketing internships. Using what she learned, Annie has taken on the role of Marketing Manager to help Maya Rosa continue to thrive. Helping Maya Rosa grow into what it is today is one of Annie’s greatest accomplishments, and she looks forward to expanding the business with her marketing efforts.
