Our Story
We believe in the power of great food to bring people together. Our journey began with a passion for Latin barbecue and a desire to share the vibrant, mouthwatering flavors of our heritage with the Central Florida community. Head chef and owner of Maya Rosa, Miguel Martinez, is a first-generation American from a Cuban family. Miguel studied and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in 2005 and gained experience in fine dining establishments until he decided to create his own catering company in 2017.
Miguel grew up on Latin American food but fell in love with the Southern barbecue style of the United States and found a way to create Latin American barbecue fusion. In doing so, Maya Rosa brings cultures together in the Orlando area, where there is a large Hispanic population. Maya Rosa got its name from Miguel’s baby niece, Maya. Family is very important to us here at Maya Rosa, and we believe that good food brings people together and is the glue of any event. Sharing a delicious meal with your family, blood-related or not, strengthens bonds. Over time, we expanded our menu to include beloved Italian and American dishes, making our catering services versatile and perfect for any event.
